On January 21-22 an international youth football tournament was held in the Turkish city of Rize.

8 clubs participated in the tournament: Çaykur Rizespor, Dinamo Batumi, Çayelispor, West Georgia, Pazarspor, Portus Batumi, Artvin Hopaspor & Black Sea Batumi

I am proud that I managed to unite friends around one idea, and the team from Batumi – West Georgia was invited by Rizespor to participate in this tournament.

West Georgia played very well in this tournament, won against Çayelispor with a score of 8:2, played a draw against Dinamo Batumi with a score of – 1:1. Lost against Rizespor and in the match for 5th place in the penalty shootout beat Black Sea.

It is important to note that in this tournament, West Georgia had 2 players who distinguished themselves – Nikoloz Phaghava and Noe Chkhikvishvili – They received a special certificate / diploma from the organizers.

I would like to especially thank Çakir Halil İbrahim and Bilal Karafazlıoğlu, as well as all the staff who work at Rizespor Academy.

I believe that our cooperation will continue and together we will be able to implement many successful projects.
